Halloween 2011
Watching the opening credits to The Creature from the Black Lagoon:
Todd: "Ooo. Know what would make some really scary music... Tubas."
...pause...
Brooke: "That's not a very scary word."

Something To Do or Something Due?
Brookie is a first-class doer—Todd is a professional procrastinator. In a recent conversation we were both able to express our mindsets clearly.
Tuesday night after Brookie came home from Youth Activities at church, we were talking about the rest of our evening. I just wanted a popsicle and time to unwind with my wife. So I asked her if she had things she needed to do. She answered that she had things that she could do. Which is true.
Brookie: "There's always something to do."
Todd, after realizing the futility of arguing the truth of her statement, countered with a truth of his own: "Yeah, but there's not always something due."

Memorial Day
"In 12 hours I'm gonna be full." --Todd
(said the day before the ward Memorial Day breakfast. Needless to say, he was not full in 12 hours).
